Enery, an independent renewable energy renewable energy with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe, has added to its portfolio a network of 32 active photovoltaic plants distributed across Slovakia. The operation, known as Project Lassie, adds 34.6 megawatts of installed capacity to its operational infrastructure.
Solar plants as a hub for energy growth
The acquired network was previously under joint control of ContourGlobal (51%) and Energy Infrastructure Partners (49%), making it the largest concentration of solar installations in the world. solar installations of solar power plants in operation in Slovakia. These plants generate 651 GWh annually, reinforcing Enery’s goal of achieving a more sustainable and competitive regional energy supply.
The acquisition is part of a strategic asset rotation plan by ContourGlobal. This move frees up capital for new developments in onshore wind and hybrid PV-BESS solutions.
Enery Slovakia, its subsidiary in the country, is promoting power purchase agreements (PPAs) aimed at industrial companies in order to reduce their carbon footprint. These agreements will allow stable access to green energy, ensuring reliability of supply and competitive costs.
