The Terra Natura Benidorm park has announced the commissioning of a new 1,000 kW solar photovoltaic plant that will power part of its daily operations with clean energy. The infrastructure represents an important action in the park’s environmental strategy, as well as its commitment to sustainability.
Technology at the service of the environment
The installation, carried out by Grupotec, includes 1,797 solar panels distributed over a total area of 4,700 square meters, of which 3,500 m² are located in the parking lot and 1,200 m² on the roofs of the buildings. This capacity will enable a significant emissions reductionemissions, estimated at more than 500 tons of CO₂ per year.
The project has involved an investment of more than 700,000 euros, co-financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana, as part of its policy to support renewable energies.

Corporate commitment with positive impact
This initiative is part of the corporate policy of Grupo Fuertes, owner of the park, which is committed to innovation, energy efficiency and sustainability as strategic pillars in all its business areas.
Thanks to this project we are taking another step towards a greener future. At Terra Natura we continue to move forward with the aim of being a benchmark in conservation, education and sustainable leisure, committed to renewable energy and continuous improvement.
Luis Perea, director of Terra Natura and Aqua Natura Benidorm.
Collaborative model for energy transition
The installation of the solar park reflects the effectiveness of the public-private partnership, with the participation of a committed administration, a company specializing in solar engineering and a tourism sector entity that integrates sustainability into its business model. The project not only reduces Terra Natura Benidorm’s carbon footprint, but also makes the park a benchmark within the leisure sector in terms of energy efficiency and climate commitment.
