Global Maritime has signed a framework agreement with Dutch firm Van Oord to provide engineering consultancy services in offshore wind energy projects. This new collaboration framework establishes the Norwegian consultancy as a strategic technical partner in high-end offshore wind operations.
Engineering consulting services
The partnership includes a wide range of specialized services such as leg penetration analysis for jack-up platforms, geotechnical evaluations, marine zoning and site-specific studies. This project will be developed jointly by the structural engineering team from and GM Geo experts, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach.
This agreement includes technical support for operation and maintenance campaigns, as well as during the installation of wind turbines. installation of wind turbines and foundations. In addition, the consulting firm will provide advanced solutions such as its Opsim software, used by Van Oord for offshore operational simulations.
The two companies have had a strong relationship for more than a decade, with a history of working together on projects led by Van Oord subsidiary MPI Offshore UK. Now, this alliance extends beyond the UK, opening the door to joint operations also in the Netherlands and other regions of the offshore market.
With this new framework, Global Maritime strengthens its presence as a reference consultant in marine engineering, contributing to complex energy projects through technical solutions that prioritize safety, efficiency and operational sustainability.
