ASNT 2025, the annual event of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), the leading professional society for Nondestructive Testing (NDT), kicked off this October 6 at the Disney Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida, with the support of its main sponsors and technology partners, who contribute to the strengthening of the industry.
With the theme“Access Granted,” the event brings together thousands of industry professionals to explore the latest developments in inspection technology and artificial intelligence applied to NDT .
From the early hours of the morning, the facilities began to take shape with the entry of exhibitors and the assembly of technical spaces, which allowed everything to be ready for the intense agenda of the coming days. The day also included the initial accreditation of technical staff and ambassadors, as well as the installation of support services for participants.
Highlights of the start of ASNT 2025
During the first day, important governance and organizational management meetings were held. Of particular note were the meetings of the Executive Committee, the Standards Council, the Leadership Development Committee and the ASNT Strategic Direction.
These closed sessions were key to defining the guidelines that will guide both the conference and the future of the institution in the short and medium term.
Although the technical conferences formally kick off on October 7, the first day made it clear that ASNT 2025 is poised to deliver a world-class technical and professional experience. With more than 100 sessions scheduled, expect presentations on AI applied to NDT, innovations in materials, emerging regulations and best practices in critical infrastructure inspection .
Connection and integration: essential components of the journey
The day closed with the “ASNT Appreciates!” private reception, a space designed to thank the collaborators and volunteers who make the event possible. This meeting marked the symbolic start of a week full of technical activities, networking and strengthening the global nondestructive testing community.
The event will continue until October 9 with a program that includes live demonstrations, conferences and technical competitions. Inspenet is present to document every moment of this important industry event.
