Marine Equipment Solutions(MES) announced the launch of Poseidon Jackup, a joint venture between Combifloat Group and Poseidon Barge, backed by MES.
Poseidon Jackup platform construction
This collaboration brings together European engineering and North American manufacturing to provide modular, world-class, fully Jones Act compliant world-class, fully Jones Act compliant, modular self-elevating platforms designed to meet the needs of marine contractors in the United States and Canada.
For more than half a century, Combifloat Group has been a leader in the development of modular and self-elevating platforms, participating in port, energy and offshore projects around the world. In parallel, Poseidon Barge has established itself as a U.S. leader in sectional barges through its nationwide distribution network and ISO-certified manufacturing.
The creation of Poseidon Jackup seeks to integrate these strengths: Combifloat’s engineering and design expertise with Poseidon’s local manufacturing capabilities, ensuring performance, compliance and efficiency from day one on future projects.
This alliance marks an important milestone for Combifloat as we expand our presence in North America. Together, we will set new standards in efficiency, safety and sustainability for the maritime industry.
Jaap Jan Pietersen, CEO of Combifloat Group.
For his part, Dan Ellis, president of Marine Equipment Solutions, said that Poseidon Jackup “allows us to support more complex marine operations with the same quality and safety standards that MES is known for”.
The joint venture introduces the MES-C7 systems, a new generation of modular self-elevating barges designed for stability, adaptability and high load capacity. These platforms are intended for multiple applications, from bridge and port construction and maintenance to energy and environmental projects.
