Energy company TotalEnergies announced a new phase of collaboration with Cognite to deploy industrial AI across its upstream assets globally. This expansion involves the progressive integration of the Cognite Data Fusion platform, with the aim of accelerating the digitization of its energy operations.
The deployment of industrial AI
Over the next three years, the oil company will use Cognite technology to optimize data management at its exploration and production sites. This platform will facilitate access to high-quality and relevant industry information, reducing the time required to implement digital solutions.
The partnership is based on turning complex facility data into AI-enabled assets. This enables dynamic visualization of operations, enabling faster and more accurate decision making throughout the asset lifecycle.
By implementing this integration, TotalEnergies will be able to analyze in real time the status of critical equipment and anticipate potential incidents, contributing to an increase in the safety, energy efficiency and sustainability of its processes. Furthermore, by consolidating its data into a unified digital infrastructure, it creates favorable conditions for deploying AI-based solutions on a large scale.
Namita Shah, president of OneTech at TotalEnergies, said that this phase of the collaboration marks an important step towards a safer and more efficient energy operation. Girish Rishi, CEO of Cognite, remarked that the synergy between the two companies enables the translation of industrial data into actionable decisions that drive global technical excellence.
