Flintbek wind farm now operational and powering 12,000 homes

This facility represents the VSB Group's first operational project in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein.

The VSB Group has officially commissioned the Flintbek wind farm in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district of northern Germany with a total capacity of 11.4 megawatts, enough to generate clean energy. clean energy enough to supply around 12,000 homes per year.

Two Nordex N149 turbines, belonging to the Delta4000 series, were installed for their great flexibility and performance in various wind conditions, which will maximize production in medium wind zones, common characteristics in northern Germany.

Strategic importance of the project

This is VSB’ s first operational project in Schleswig-Holstein and is part of a series of investments that VSB is developing in storage, solar power and repowering of existing parks. The power generated by Flintbek is directly integrated into the regional grid, making a significant contribution to the German energy transition.
