CONUAR has signed a strategic agreement with Terra Innovatum – SOLO, developer of the SOLO micro-modular reactor, with the aim of boosting clean, safe and affordable nuclear power generation globally.

The nuclear energy strategy

Under the agreement, CONUAR will become a key partner for the design and manufacture of critical components such as cooling systems, control mechanisms, fuel elements and parts in stainless steels and special alloys for the first SOLO reactors.

This milestone consolidates more than four decades of CONUAR’s industrial experience in the supply of nuclear fuel. nuclear fuel supply and in the manufacture of highly complex and in the manufacture of highly complex components, now applied to an initiative that seeks to expand modular nuclear energy in Latin America and the world.

In addition, the agreement contemplates the joint development of a supply chain hub and, subsequently, of SOLO assembly lines in South America, in line with Terra Innovatum’s production localization strategy.

“We believe that international cooperation and innovation are key to accelerating sustainable energy solutions capable of delivering reliable, emission-free electricity to communities, industries and emerging markets,” said a CONUAR spokesperson.
