Vantage Data Centers confirmed the development of a data center campus in Shackelford County, Texas. This project was named “Frontier“, and represents an investment of more than 25 billion dollars.

Campus design of data centers in the face of AI demand

This complex is the largest in Vantage’s global portfolio, as it will span 1,200 acres and feature ten data centers. The infrastructure will have a capacity of up to 1.4 GW, almost 3.7 million square feet.

Also, to support the requirements of the most advanced AI deployments, the campus will integrate liquid cooling, a specialized specialized technology technology to handle next-generation GPU loads.

Central to the Frontier project is a focus on sustainability by design. The campus is seeking LEED certification certification and will utilize a highly efficient closed-loop cooling system that will significantly reduce water consumption. This will save billions of gallons of water each year.

In addition to the economic and technological impact, Vantage has demonstrated a deep commitment to the local community. Texas Governor Greg Abbott mentioned that the company’s investment will create thousands of jobs and also generate revenue for local and state economies. In addition, the company will collaborate with local organizations, offering annual college scholarships and training opportunities for Shackelford County residents.
