In Beijing, JA Solar and Advance Prime Power Corporation(AP Power) signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the development of renewable energy in Southeast Asia. The two-year agreement will seek to expand solar generation capacity in the Philippines and neighboring markets.
A solar energy partnership with regional impact
The agreement integrates the companies’ global expertise in research, development and manufacturing of photovoltaic solutions, encouraging the design and implementation of energy projects. This integration aims to accelerate the adoption of clean energy and strengthen solar infrastructure in the region.
Both companies plan to identify and promote solar photovoltaic projects that prioritize projects that prioritize sustainability and generate long-term benefits for local communities. With a strong presence in the Philippines for more than a decade, the companies are looking to consolidate their role as a key provider of high-efficiency photovoltaic solutions.
This agreement sets both companies up to take advantage of the growth in demand for clean energy in Asia-Pacific. According to corporate data, JA Solar has surpassed 280 GW in solar cell and module shipments, backed by nearly 1,900 patents, while AP Power continues to expand its presence in the regional renewable market.
