Global precision engineering group Hunting PLC has secured a contract valued at $31 million to supply titanium tensile joints (TSJs) for a deepwater gas development deepwater gas development in the Turkish Black Sea area.
In detail, its Houston-based Subsea Spring unit will manufacture and deliver six TSJs incorporating the patented “Direct Pull-Thru Tube” technology.Direct Pull-thru Tube“. These components will be installed on the second and third FPSO vessels that will operate in the third phase of the offshore project, consolidating Hunting’s presence in strategic markets.
Delivery of titanium tension joints
With this order, Hunting reinforces its role as a key supplier of solutions for subsea projects. The first deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2027 and the entire contract will be completed within the next 24 months. This agreement follows the contract awarded in 2024 for the second phase of the development, currently in production and due to be completed in 2026. Together, the two contracts contribute revenues of nearly $51.6 million.
Hunting also anticipates greater opportunities in this third phase thanks to the acquisition of Flexible Engineered Solutions (FES) in June. This acquisition strengthens the company’s 2030 strategy, focused on long-cycle segments less affected by commodity price volatility.
Hunting’s current subsea order book amounts to approximately $125 million, a relevant figure compared to the $72.5 million reported at the end of 2024. Updates are expected during the half-year results presentation scheduled for August 28.
With its recent success in Turkey and parallel developments in regions such as Guyana, Hunting is consolidating its global position in the supply of subsea equipment advanced subsea equipment. This performance reflects the growing international demand for technologies such as the TSJ and Hunting’s commitment to complex offshore projects.
