With an experienced technical team, high-profile investors and ongoing testing, Bedrock Robotics is positioned to play a pivotal role in the U.S. construction sector.
El dilema de automatizar la construcción por parte de Bedrock Robotics

Bedrock Robotics has come up with a proposal that seeks to automate construction and radically change the landscape through advanced autonomy technology applied to heavy machinery.

The dilemma of automating construction

With more than half a million unfilled vacancies, delays in major projects have become all too common. From power plants to new residential neighborhoods, construction sites suffer delays that impact the national economy. Bedrock Robotics proposes to solve the problem by introducing backhoes and autonomous equipment that can operate without direct human intervention.

Bedrock’s founding team is comprised of former engineers from Waymoexperts in autonomous vehicle technology. That expertise translates into a mature solution that is being tested at test sites in Arkansas, Arizona, Texas and California. The system allows changing fleets into intelligent units with the ability to perform tasks in an organized, precise and safe manner.

The company has raised $80 million in a round led by Eclipse and 8VC, with additional backing from funds including Two Sigma Ventures, Valor Equity Partners and NVentures, the equity arm of NVIDIA. These resources will accelerate the deployment of its solutions in a market that demands speed, efficiency and adaptability.

Bedrock collaborates with construction companies such as Sundt Construction, Zachry Construction Corporation, and Champion Site Prep. These partnerships validate its technology in real-world scenarios, paving the way for wider adoption.
