The Norwegian group DOF Group ASA has once again been selected by Petrobras to strengthen its maritime operations in Brazil through two long-term offshore contracts. The vessels involved are the AHTS Skandi Logger and the RSV Skandi Achiever, which will operate under new conditions in different strategic projects of the Brazilian state-owned oil company.
The extension of two new offshore contracts
On the one hand, the Skandi Logger, which was awarded through a competitive bidding process, has a fixed-point pulling capacity of 250 tons. This contract has a duration of four years and is scheduled to start in February 2026. Prior to deployment, this vessel will be reflagged under the Brazilian flag, encouraging compliance with local regulations.
At the same time, the Skandi Achiever was awarded as a Subsea Operations Support Vessel (RSV) for a period also of four years. This contract is scheduled to start in December 2025 and will continue directly after its current assignment with another customer in Brazil. The vessel is planned to use its two working ROVs (WROVs) and its subsea operating crane, expanding deepwater intervention capabilities.
The combined value of the contracts exceeds US$275 million, which represents a consolidation of DOF’s presence in the Brazilian offshore services market. These agreements are part of Petrobras strategy to ensure efficient maritime logistics in support of its offshore exploration and production projects.
