Through a wholly owned subsidiary, Greece-based Diana Shipping announced the transfer of the Panamax dry bulk carrier “m/v Selina” to an unaffiliated third party for approximately $11.8 million.

The vessel was built in 2010 and was part of the Panamax segment. Panamax segment segment of the company’s operational structure, which is still evolving. With this operation, Diana Shipping’ s fleet will be composed of 36 bulk carriers, distributed in six different types: 4 Newcastlemax, 8 Capesize, 4 Post-Panamax, 6 Kamsarmax, 5 Panamax and 9 Ultramax.
On the other hand, the company plans to strengthen its presence in the market in the medium term with two new Kamsarmax vessels under construction. These vessels will be added between 2027 and 2028, and will be powered by methanol dual fuel systems.
Currently, Diana’s fleet, excluding units under construction and maintaining the m/v Selina, has a total cargo capacity of 4.1 million deadweight tons, with an average age of 11.63 years.
