During the third day of PANNDT 2025, one of the most relevant events in nondestructive testing (NDT) in North America, the Estonian-based TEQTO made its official debut in the North American market. The company’s CEO, Andres Assor, shared with Inspenet the reasons for its participation and the strategic vision that drives this step: “We are interested in entering the Americas, both Canada and the US, and that is why we decided to participate for the first time in this event,” he said.

This is also the company’s first presence in Canada, which marks a symbolic and commercial starting point for its expansion. According to Assor, the Americas represent a growth opportunity aligned with the trajectory that the company has already consolidated in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Portable technology made for demanding environments

TEQTO specializes in the development and manufacture of portable NDT equipment designed for technical inspection and diagnostics in sectors such as oil and gas, energy, aviation, metallurgy and shipbuilding. Its portfolio ranges from UCI and Leeb type hardness testers to crack depth gauges, ferrite and magnetic particle or eddy current flaw detectors.

One of the main differentiators of the brand is the portability and resistance of its equipment, which is designed to operate in extreme conditions. Manufactured in Estonia under strict European quality controls, these devices are suitable for both laboratory environments and industrial plants with high temperatures or aggressive environmental exposure.

Business model focused on distributors and strategic partners

When asked about the commercial strategy for the Americas, Assor made it clear that TEQTO seeks alliances with local distributors as a preferred channel. “We can sell direct, but in this type of industry you normally work with resellers,” he explained. This approach aligns with their previous experience in other regions where they have established successful distribution networks.

An outstanding example of TEQTO’s international presence is its collaboration with ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), one of the world’s largest energy companies. It uses the hardness and ferrite testers manufactured by the brand to ensure compliance with technical standards in its facilities. Its distributor in Malaysia has also supplied equipment to Petronas, reaffirming the reliability of its solutions for critical sectors.

Validation by customers of this magnitude is a key advantage when looking for distributors in markets such as the U.S., where proven experience and real use cases are often decisive in closing deals.

Portfolio adapted to multiple industries

In addition to its portable hardness testers, TEQTO offers a complete range of NDT devices designed to meet specific industry needs. Its products are present in applications such as:

  • Inspection of oiltanks and infrastructure in remote areas and harsh environments.
  • Aircraft structural control, where high precision and reliability are required.
  • Verification of welds and mechanical components in machinery and transport factories.
  • Turbine and boiler monitoring in power generation.
  • Evaluation of hulls and marine structures in shipyards and naval maintenance.
  • Analysis of industrial metals in metallurgical processes.

The modular design of the equipment allows rapid adaptation to different working environments, from mobile inspection units to fixed installations in production plants. In addition, the company provides technical training and video tutorials to ensure effective adoption of its technology.

Direct contact and vision for the future

The company TEQTO has facilitated commercial contact through its website, where both technical data sheets and information for potential distributors can be accessed. Andres Assor himself is available to channel opportunities, either directly or through the sales team.

At the end of the interview, Assor did not rule out participation in other international events throughout the year, which reinforces his intention to consolidate a global network. The presence at PANNDT has been, beyond a technological showcase, a concrete step towards the internationalization of the brand.
