Soltec has completed construction of the El Rancho solar plant, a Statkraft property, with an installed capacity of 54.25 megawatt peak (MWp), equipped with 1,155 SF7 solar trackers.
Completion of the solar power plant in Jerez
The plant’s generation capacity enables the supply of the annual electricity consumption of more than 30,000 households, while avoiding the emission of approximately 28,000 tons of carbon dioxide (CO₂) each year.
This project uses the SF7 model of 2P solar trackers, a technology developed by Soltec, which stands out for its self-powered design and operational efficiency. This solution minimizes installation times and maintenance costs, making it one of the most competitive in the market.
The construction involved an investment of close to 50 million euros by Statkraft, the leading producer of renewable energy in Europe. In addition to the energy infrastructure, the project generated 282 jobs, almost half of which came from Jerez and other towns in Cádiz. Purchases were also made from 58 local companies, mobilizing more than 1.6 million euros in the regional economy.
With more than 1.3 GW of installed capacity in Andalusia, the company consolidates its leadership in the supply of solar solutions. The experience gained in projects such as El Rancho has been crucial to optimize the development of its products and align its operations with sustainable models.
The El Rancho plant is presented as one of the last integrated projects before concentrating exclusively on the manufacture and supply of solar trackers. supply of solar trackers. The company is committed to strengthening its technological line and maintaining an active commitment to regional development and environmental sustainability.
Each new project we promote in Andalusia reaffirms our commitment to a cleaner, fairer and more environmentally friendly energy model.
At El Rancho, we have focused on both environmental sustainability and creating real opportunities for the local community.
