Polenergia has started the progressive activation of the Szprotawa solar park, located in the municipalities of Szprotawa and Niegosławice, within the Lubusz voivodeship in Poland.
Photovoltaic capacity of the Szprotawa solar park
This energy project adds 67 MW, bringing the total solar generation capacity of the country to solar generation to 149 MW. In addition, the project covers an area of more than 76 hectares and houses more than 107,000 bifacial panels distributed in two zones(Szprotawa I and II). The complex is equipped with 214 inverters and 10 medium-voltage transformer stations.
The group has applied for the corresponding license from the Energy Regulatory Office, a process that could be extended over the next few months. Once authorized, the plant will begin to inject clean energy into the national grid.
The Szprotawa wind farm increases the company’s solar production and also consolidates its presence in Lubusz, a region that is committed to sustainable growth. The Mycielin wind farm already operates nearby, allowing for logistical and infrastructure synergies.
Szprotawa represents the largest PV investment in Polenergia’s portfolio.
With a surface area of 76 hectares, the park will increase our installed photovoltaic capacity to 149 MW by the second half of 2025, thus increasing Polenergia’s total renewable energy capacity to 641 MW.
In the rapidly developing Lubusz region, this new source of clean energy will contribute to economic growth and support the green transformation of companies already operating there.
Adam Purwin, Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Onshore renewable energy has been a solid foundation for our business for years, enabling Polenergia to continue to grow.
In line with our strategy, we seek to strengthen our position in this sector by expanding our wind and solar generation assets and integrating energy storage solutions.
Łukasz Buczyński, member of Polenergia’s Board of Directors responsible for onshore power development.
