Norwegian maritime services provider Solstad Offshore has confirmed the award of a four-year contract with Petrobras, which will commence in February 2026. This new agreement will consolidate the presence of the AHTS Normand Turquoise vessel in Brazilian waters until 2030.

Currently, under contract with the Brazilian oil company, the Normand Turquesa will see its operation extended for an additional nine months, covering the period until the start of the new contract. This ensures a seamless transition in the anchor handling tug’s service.
Solstad has maintained a constant presence in constant presence in Brazil, operatingoperating several units in partnership with Petrobras. This new contract reaffirms its strategic role in the Brazilian energy giant’s offshore exploration and production activities.
With this agreement, the vessel will remain fully committed for the next five years, aligning with Petrobras’ asset expansion and maintenance plans in the South Atlantic. This partnership also anticipates increased logistical demands, which could translate into future contract opportunities for Solstad.
