During his participation at the NISTM 2025 Conference, Frank Buzzanka, sales manager for Traeger Brothers & Associates, provided details on the company’s track record, evolution and current challenges facing the industrial tank and piping industry.
The implementation of technologies for industrial tanks
With a solid history of more than 100 years, Traeger Brothers has established itself as an international supplier of industrial supplies, specializing in serving the Caribbean and Florida market.
Founded in 1924, the company started as a generalist exporter, evolving over time to a specialized focus on piping systems, fittings and storage tank terminals.
The company met the growing demand for strategic terminals in the Caribbean for the handling and transportation of petroleum products, which, in turn, boosted its presence in the industrial tank sector.
Today we are an international supply house, focused on meeting specific customer needs, from power plants and refineries to rum distilleries and other industrial facilities.
Buzzanka said.
Moreover, the company acts as a “pipe supermarket“, offering customized adaptations to the particular requirements of each terminal, considering factors such as pressure, temperature and corrosion levels.
We sit down with engineers and maintenance managers to guide them in the selection of suitable materials, based on both technical and budgetary criteria.
The Sales Manager explained.
Regardingenvironmental and regulatory challenges, Buzzanka highlighted the company’s commitment to compliance with local and international regulations, adapting its products to the specifications required by the different environmental protection agencies in each country.
Regarding current industry challenges, the sales manager pointed to the impact of the global economic situation and logistical delays, which are forcing customers to extend the life of their assets. In response, Traeger Brothers is promoting a range of anti-corrosion products designed to maximize the durability of industrial equipment.
