From April 22 to 25, Santiago, Chile, will host Expomin 2025, the largest mining fair in Latin America. The event will be held at Espacio Riesco and will bring together more than 1,300 exhibitors from 35 countries.
Under the slogan ” Reimagining Latin American Mining ,” it is proposed as a forum to promote technologies, sustainability, and strategic alliances in the sector.
Conferences, talks, and technology at Expomin 2025
The International Congress, led by Anglo American, will take place over four days and will discuss topics such as artificial intelligence, digitalization, environmental regulation, and mining 4.0. It will feature panels and lectures by international experts such as Zack Kass and Andrew Winston, who will address the impact of AI and sustainability on modern mining.
Finland will be the guest country at this edition and will share its best practices in technical education and sustainable mining. Along with delegations from countries such as Canada, Germany, and Peru, the event stands out for its international character.
Startups and SMEs will also be protagonists
A special pavilion will house 50 technology startups selected by the Ministry of Mining and High Law, as well as 115 SMEs chosen through the “Take Off Your SME” competition, sponsored by Yale University. These initiatives will be able to connect directly with major mining companies.
More than 70,000 professionals and businesses are expected to attend, with a projected US$1.2 billion in attendance. On April 26, for the first time, the event will open its doors to the general public. Free buses will be available from strategic locations in Santiago to facilitate access.
Expomin 2025 is positioned as a platform for knowledge transfer, the presentation of innovations, and the strengthening of networks in the mining industry of the future.
