Epiroc completes acquisition of Radlink to strengthen mining connectivity

Mining and construction specialist Epiroc has completed its full acquisition of Radlink , a provider of wireless connectivity for mining operations. This acquisition brings the company’s stake in Radlink to 100%, culminating a process that began in 2022 with the acquisition of a 53% majority stake.

Radlink acquisition will enhance mining operations

The company is located in Perth, Australia, and specializes in the design, supply, and integration of wireless voice and data communications networks. Its expertise includes both underground and open-pit mining .

These networks are characterized by their high reliability and security and are the foundation for autonomous and remote mining operations. Furthermore, they are vital for enabling applications such as mining automation , fleet management , and real-time data collection , which optimize safety and productivity.

The supplied wireless networks facilitate the implementation of autonomous operations in remote mines , improving worker safety and maximizing productivity. In January 2025, the mining company announced that two Australian mining companies had ordered digital solutions worth over 250 MSEK, highlighting Radlink’s confidence in its ability to improve mining operations through advanced connectivity.
