AIMEN Technology Centre is preparing to make a splash at the international composite materials fair JEC World 2025 in Paris, which will take place from 4 to 6 March. At this event, AIMEN will exhibit its CARBO4POWER WTB modular wind turbine blade prototype , a demonstration of its leadership in technological innovation and its commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency in the wind energy sector.
Apart from its contribution to the wind sector, AIMEN will also be present in other spaces of the event, where it will showcase its participation in projects linked to the aerospace industry .
About the modular wind turbine
This modular prototype has been developed within the framework of the Carbo4Power project , an initiative funded by the European Union that seeks to advance the manufacture of light and resistant materials for the creation of more efficient wind turbine blades . Thanks to this approach, AIMEN has achieved a solution that optimizes both production costs and logistics in the manufacture of large-scale wind components.
The CARBO4POWER WTB modular blade integrates cutting-edge materials such as 3R vitrimeric resin, which is repairable, reprocessable and recyclable, aligning with the project’s ecological impact reduction objectives. This breakthrough in offshore wind energy aims to improve the durability and performance of turbines, while reducing operating costs through automated manufacturing technologies and the use of automated fibers to improve assembly efficiency.
A global sustainability project
The Carbo4Power project has also proven to be a model of sustainability, reducing the waste generated in the manufacture of wind turbine blades by 25% and manufacturing costs by 40%. These advances not only have a direct impact on the optimization of processes within the wind industry, but also address global environmental challenges by recycling components and reducing the environmental footprint of turbines.
