Talos Energy has confirmed oil and natural gas discoveries at its Katmai West #2 well , located in the Ewing Bank area of the Gulf of Mexico. This development highlights the company’s ability to execute complex projects with high standards of safety and environmental efficiency.

The well was drilled 35% ahead of budget and more than a month ahead of schedule. The company plans to tie this well into the Tarantula facility, which has been increased to 35,000 barrels per day. This design will allow for stable and efficient long-term production. The company, in collaboration with Ridgewood Energy Corporation , operates a 50% interest in the Katmai West field.
