Origis Energy , a US-based renewable energy platform, has closed a major financing agreement worth $415 million to boost the Swift Air Solar project in Ector County, Texas, as a new energy alternative for the country.
Details of Origis Energy’s solar project
Construction phases for Swift Air Solar are underway to achieve an installed capacity of 145 MW. The project is scheduled to begin commercial operations in mid-2025, providing clean energy to the STRATOS direct air capture facility, operated by Occidental and its subsidiary 1PointFive , in the Permian Basin.
The financial package includes $290 million in term debt and $125 million in fiscal equity, managed by Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and Advantage Capital . Natixis played a central role as coordinator of green loans, and underlined its commitment to financing. For its part, Advantage Capital underlined the importance of attracting capital to innovative projects that benefit both local economies and the environment.
Vikas Anand, CEO of Origis Energy, highlighted the relevance of the project to accelerate clean energy goals in the United States: ” This project brings us closer to a net-zero emissions future, fueling innovative solutions such as direct air capture .”

This is the third agreement between Origis and Natixis in less than a year, consolidating a collaboration focused on high-impact sustainable projects. Together, they have managed financing for more than 1.5 billion dollars for clean energy generation and storage projects.
