Woven City is not just a place to live, but a platform where scientists, entrepreneurs and academics from around the world will be able to develop innovative solutions in areas such as mobility, energy and connectivity. From autonomous vehicles to assistant robots, every corner of this community has been designed to foster sustainability and creativity.
Toyota is taking innovation to the next level with projects such as robots that learn household tasks using artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles that can glide with precision on racetracks. In addition, the city will serve as a test center for cutting-edge technologies such as transportation drones and zero-emission energy systems.
Aiming to lead the way toward a greener future, Woven City is the first community in Japan to receive LEED Platinum certification , the highest standard in sustainability. This achievement reinforces Toyota’s mission to integrate mobility and environmental stewardship into one vision.
Toyota President Akio Toyoda said the company celebrates its legacy as innovators, from its origins in loom manufacturing to its current focus on the mobility of tomorrow. He also extended an invitation to visionaries around the world to join the project, promoting collaboration and the development of ideas that transform the way we live.
