CHN Energy has surpassed 140 million kilowatts of installed renewable energy capacity, representing more than 40% of its total power generation capacity. This achievement brought forward the company’s 14th Five-Year Plan goal for developing clean and sustainable energy by one year.
CHN Energy’s growth in wind and solar energy
The company has consolidated its global leadership in the wind energy sector, with an increase of 20.26 million kilowatts in wind capacity. At the same time, solar photovoltaic energy has also seen remarkable growth, with an additional 54.47 million kilowatts in capacity, contributing to the green transformation of the energy industry.
The company has adopted a diversified and efficient development strategy, with a focus on building large energy bases. Key projects include wind farms in the Tengger Desert ( Ningxia ) and the Badain Jaran Desert ( Gansu ), as well as integrated hydropower and solar projects in the Dadu River Basin. These projects are in addition to energy storage initiatives, with 100 new storage projects completed and an installed capacity of 3.33 million kilowatts.
With a comprehensive energy portfolio including wind , solar , biomass , tidal and hydrogen , CHN Energy continues to move toward green industrialization and energy production, promoting renewable applications in key sectors such as transportation, construction and agriculture.
