Duke Robotics has announced the start of revenue generation following the successful use of the IC Drone, a robotic system specifically designed to increase the effectiveness of cleaning, maintaining and protecting high voltage insulators.
The insulator cleaning drone
The historic agreement with the Israel Electric Corporation ( IEC ) has allowed the company to offer its aerial cleaning services to one of the main public service providers in the region. The implementation of the IC Drone has been designed to optimize high voltage maintenance processes, improving safety and efficiency in operations.
With the IC Drone now operational, Duke Robotics plans to expand its offering to utility providers around the world. The IC Drone’s advanced technology is intended to be a valuable resource for the power sector , enabling more efficient cleaning of high-voltage insulators, improving the sustainability of operations and reducing the risk of infrastructure failure.
Duke Robotics CEO Yossef Balucka expressed his excitement about this advancement: “We are excited to launch our IC Drone services with IEC. We believe this deployment is a testament to the effectiveness and value of our drone-enabled solutions, and we look forward to bringing these benefits to utilities globally. “.
Duke Robotics’ transition from a development company to an active provider of drone maintenance solutions marks a fundamental shift in the industry. The company is innovating in the military sector with its TIKAD system , and is now also positioning itself as a leader in the use of autonomous drones for civilian applications, especially in infrastructure maintenance.
