Neuralink , the neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk , has received approval to launch a new feasibility study that expands its brain-computer interface (BCI) technology . This innovative trial seeks to evaluate the ability of the N1 brain implant to control an assistive robotic arm in patients with limited mobility due to spinal cord injuries or neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

CONVOY: The Neuralink feasibility study

The study, called CONVOY , is a crucial step in the development of neurotechnology that could transform the lives of people with severe paralysis. Through this trial, Neuralink plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the brain implant in restoring motor control and the ability to interact with external devices solely through thought, without the need for physical movements.
