Falcon Oil & Gas has announced the commencement of drilling of the Shenandoah S2-4H well ( previously named SS3H ) in the Beetaloo sub-basin, located in the Northern Territory, Australia, as part of the Shenandoah South Pilot Project. This project is being carried out in collaboration with Tamboran (B2) Pty Limited, a joint venture partner.

The SS4H well is the second well to be drilled within the Shenandoah South Pilot Project and will be drilled from the same rig used for the Shenandoah S2-2H ST1 ( SS2H ST1 ) well. In addition, H&P ‘s state-of-the-art FlexRig Flex 3 rig will be used. The well is targeted to reach a total depth of 20,669 feet, including a horizontal section of approximately 10,000 feet, targeting the B shale of the Amungee Member.
Following completion of the SS4H well, Liberty Energy will carry out hydraulic stimulation of the SS2H ST1 and SS4H wells. In addition, it is anticipated that the wells will be stimulated with a total of 34 stages for the SS2H ST1 well and 60 stages for the SS4H well. Stimulation will begin in the first quarter of 2025, with initial production rates expected in the same period, lasting 30 days.
Falcon Oil & Gas Australia Limited remains committed to the Shenandoah South Pilot Project with a 5% interest. This project is important for the evaluation of gas production in the region. Tamboran (B2) Pty Limited, a strategic partner in the Beetaloo Basin, has an interest in the operations and development of the project.
