THOR OHVS substation for Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm completed

HSM Offshore Energy has consolidated its position as a leader in offshore infrastructure by unveiling the THOR OHVS substation at its facility in Schiedam, the Netherlands. This key component of Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm , with a planned capacity of 1,058 MW, will transform the energy generated by individual turbines into high-voltage electricity for transmission.

The project, in collaboration with RWE Renewables , stands out for its commitment to the energy transition . The green electricity collected by THOR OHVS will be transported via export cables to a land-based substation in Volder Søndervang. This infrastructure will supply more than one million Danish homes , reinforcing the commitment to sustainability in Europe.

HSM Offshore Energy is taking on the full scope of the EPCIC project, including the jacket foundation . Installation of these elements is scheduled for 2025, with operations planned for the last quarter of 2026.
