US Gold Corp has announced progress on the CK Gold Project in Wyoming. The company has received approval for an Air Quality Permit from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality ( WDEQ ) Air Quality Division, removing the last regulatory hurdle preventing mining operations from commencing.

US Gold receives air quality permit

The air quality certification completes the necessary conditions for the Mine Operating Permit , initially approved in April 2024. US Gold Corp President and CEO George Bee stated: ” The final approval brings us closer to the development of the CK gold project .” In addition. Bee stressed that engineering studies are at an advanced stage and that the company is ready to begin development after completion of optimization studies.

For his part, US Gold Corp CEO Luke Norman added that the CK Gold mine is strategically positioned to benefit from rising commodity prices. ” With the completion of this permit, the Gold project is entering production at a time when global mining projects face multiple barriers ,” Norman explained. He also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to financing the project, without dilution to shareholders.

The CK Gold Project , formerly known as Copper King , has been the subject of intermittent study and exploration for nearly a century. In 2020, US Gold shifted its focus to the active development of this project. Since then, significant studies have been conducted, including a preliminary economic analysis and an initial pre-feasibility study by Gustavson and Associates in 2021.

Engineering work has been accelerated , and the design of the processing plant is nearly complete. An updated pre-feasibility study is expected to be completed later this year. In addition, US Gold is exploring the feasibility of using “ unmineralized rock ” to meet the growing demand for construction materials in the region, transforming what would be waste into a valuable resource.

This development marks a defining moment for US Gold, which remains committed to the responsible and efficient development of its mining assets in Wyoming, setting a new standard for gold and copper production in the United States.
