After more than 27 years of impeccable service in shallow water pipe laying, Allseas has announced the sale of its famous barge, Tog Mor . This vessel, renowned for its ability to handle challenging conditions and ensure stability in offshore operations , is saying goodbye to begin a new chapter following a successful salvage operation in Mexico.
Tog Mor and its legacy in offshore engineering
Tog Mor joined the Allseas fleet in 1997 and underwent a conversion between 2001 and 2002, optimising her for pipelaying and offshore construction duties. Her first assignment for the company was the Interconnector pipeline between Scotland and Ireland, but she did not stop there.
It has installed more than 400 kilometres of pipelines on coasts around the world. Equipped with a robust tension-holding capacity and Stülcken masts, this vessel was part of important achievements such as the construction of the Maureen platform and the raising of the Mary Rose.
The salvage operation in Mexico was an achievement in itself, highlighting the vessel’s robustness and advanced design. Now, Allseas, known for its innovation in offshore engineering , continues to focus on complex projects as Tog Mor looks to new opportunities.
