Liebherr’s second 110-tonne crane
The decision to incorporate this specific crane was carefully considered. “We required a machine with a capacity of between 100 and 130 tons. The LTM 1110-5.2 was the ideal choice for three reasons: ”, explains Barbara Baldini, Managing Director of the Baldini Group. Firstly , she highlights the crane’s ability to transport its own ballast by road, which eliminates the need for additional support vehicles and improves operational efficiency.
Secondly , VarioBase Plus technology improves the crane’s performance, increasing safety and allowing for a wider working radius. Finally , the robustness of the five-axle chassis ensures that the crane can handle the demands of sectors such as construction and the assembly of prefabricated parts.
Roberto Baldini, an experienced crane operator in the group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new acquisition. The LICCON3 display design is very practical, and its operation is intuitive and smooth. The crane is incredibly stable while offering a smooth and quiet ride on construction sites. “He also praised the improvements that VarioBase Plus brings to lifting manoeuvres and highlighted the comfort of the cabin. Liebherr ’s 24-hour customer service has been another positive aspect for the Baldini Group , ensuring that the crane remains in top condition.
