Seaway7, a renewable energy specialist and part of the Subsea7 Group, has secured a contract with Ørsted for the transport and installation of cables at the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm in the British North Sea. This contract extends the strong collaboration between the two companies, reinforced by their joint work on previous Ørsted projects such as Hornsea 1 and 2 .

The project, considered one of the largest in Europe , will involve the installation of 192 66 kV inter-array cables, with a length of approximately 500 kilometres. These interconnections will allow efficient and sustainable transmission of energy from the sea to the UK electricity grid . Offshore activities are expected to begin in 2026, in accordance with the logistical and technical planning.
