Baker Hughes, a leading global energy technology company, has secured its largest order to date for its Integrated Compressor Line (ICL) units from Dubai Petroleum Establishment (DPE) in collaboration with Dubai Supply Authority (DUSUP). This landmark compressor order , booked in Q3 2024, seeks to bolster Dubai’s energy capabilities and support its transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
The largest order for compressors to date
The contract includes 10 ICL units, which will be used for both gas storage and for the reinforcement of the natural gas distribution system, thus improving the stability of energy supply. These units will be installed at the Margham gas storage plant, which will significantly increase its operational capacity and help reduce carbon emissions .
Ganesh Ramaswamy, Executive Vice President of Baker Hughes, said the technology will play a key role in Dubai’s energy infrastructure, enabling an efficient transition to renewable energy sources.
