Shell subleases semi-submersible platform for operations in Brazil

Shell has secured a new agreement with Constellation Oil Services to sublease the Alpha Star semi-submersible platform. The contract will allow Shell to use the rig for 30 days, performing key interventions on wells located in the BC-10 field, in the Campos BasinCampos Basin, one of the main oil production areas in Brazil.

Semi-submersible platform boosts well efficiency

Constellation, a company with decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, is well known for operating high-tech drilling rigs rigs capable of working at extreme depths. The Alpha Star, equipped with dynamic positioning technology, has the ability to drill in water depths of up to 9,000 feet, making it an excellent choice.making it an ideal choice for the complex conditions of the Brazilian pre-salt.

The project with Shell includes the execution of ESP/MOBO operations focused on improving well efficiency and performance in up to four fields in the BC-10 area. This sublease comes under an existing contract between Constellation and Brava Energia, strengthening the company’s ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.

Over the next 30 days, the Constellation team will work hand in hand with Shell to ensure that offshore operations run smoothly, with the goal of maximizing well production and efficiency. This agreement reflects the confidence in Constellation’s technical capabilities and commitment to deepwater operational excellence.
