Nature Resources, LLC (Natura), a leader in molten salt reactor (LF-MSR) technology, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Texas Tech University’s Texas Produced Water Consortium (TxPWC). This partnership, known as “Fortifying the Future,” seeks to deploy Natura’s LF-MSR technology in the Permian Basin to provide additional power and water crucial to Texas.

The partnership includes the upcoming issuance of the construction permit in September to deploy Natura’s first LF-MSR reactor at Abilene Christian University. This action underscores Natura’s commitment to the rapid development of its technology to meet critical national needs.

Water and energy efficient solutions in Texas
The TPWC, established by the Texas Legislature in 2021leads produced water research in the state, exploring its use beyond the oil and gas industry. Its mission includes guiding policies for environmentally and economically viable use of treated water.
The economic viability of water treatment depends on affordable and reliable power. Natura’s molten salt reactor offers the promise of expanding these capabilities to remote areas of Texas, strengthening both the state’s economy and electrical infrastructure.
