During an information session held in the White Room, representatives of the Italian firm presented the details of the project and answered questions from the public, which included municipal authorities, neighbors and businessmen concerned about adverse effects such as unpleasant odors and the possible degradation of the quality of life in the area.
The director of Belenergia in Spain, Emilio Ezquerro, tried to allay fears by assuring that the plant’s advanced technology will prevent the emission of perceptible odors and will comply with all current regulations.
