Inician las operaciones de mejora de pozos petroleros en alta mar en Turquía

Trillion Energy International has kicked off its oil well operations program at the SASB gas field in Turkey, a project that is expected to last two months. Operations are carried out in several phases and involve seven or eight wells for field improvement.

Upgrading oil wells in Turkey

In mid-June, Trillion will drill 49 meters of gas in four wells, followed by initial installation in the AKK-3 well. They are expected to improve well performance and stabilize production in the long term. Each of the operations will be carried out on the Akçakoca platform and will include the Gülüç-2, South Akçakoca-2, West Akçakoca-1 and Akçakoca-3 wells. In addition, this phase of the operation is expected to be completed in 20 days.

In addition, Trillion has ordered approximately 16,500 meters of velocity strings, new wellheads and other tangible materials that are continuously being received at the shore base near the port of Akçakoca. To carry out these operations, drilling services, well tractors and pipeline installation services have been contracted, while marine vessels transport the equipment 14 kilometers offshore.

In July, the company will start a second series of operations, which will involve the installation of gas velocity strings in six or more wells on the Akçakoca Platform and in two tripods. It is also planned to install pumps on one or more older wells, which were not part of Trillion’s 2022-2023 drilling program, if necessary.

The Trillion Energy Outlook

Trillion Energy had announced its intention to evaluate further exploration opportunities around the SASB development license area, which covers 12,385 hectares. The company is currently mapping the reprocessed 3D seismic to determine and propose new exploration work programs in and around the SASB block. New reprocessing technology has improved seismic resolution, defining new exploration targets and delineating new reserves and resource potential in SASB.

Trillion Energy has signed a participation agreement with Derkim Poliüretan Sanayi ve Ticaret AS for a 50% interest in three oil exploration blocks covering 151,484 hectares in the newly defined oil province of Cudi-Gabar in southeastern Turkey.

In addition, the company is negotiating a joint operating agreement, which will involve certain labor commitments over a three-year period. The company is engaged in oil and natural gas production for Europe and Turkey, with natural gas assets in Turkey. In addition, it owns 49% of the SASB natural gas field in the Black Sea and a 19.6% stake in the Cendere oil field.
