HSM Offshore Energy expands production with new shipyard

The Dutch company HSM Offshore Energy has signed a long-term lease agreement with Hollandia to use the Stormpolder shipyard in Krimpen aan den IJssel. This initiative is part of HSM’s expansion plans to meet a growing order book. The company is focused on offshore wind and offshore grid projects, with several significant projects to its credit.

HSM and its new projects

Stormpolder’s shipyard and office are strategically located between the Noord, Nieuwe Maas and Hollandse IJssel rivers. This location provides easy access by road and inland waterways, with a direct connection to the North Sea, which represents a significant logistical advantage for HSM Offshore Energy.

Characteristics of the shipyard

In terms of size, the shipyard has a total surface area of 30,000 m², of which 4,600 m² are covered. This includes a new main platform assembly hall, which will allow HSM Offshore Energy to expand its production capacity significantly.

The expansion of HSM Offshore Energy also contemplates the implementation of advanced technologies in the new shipyard. These innovations include automated assembly systems and real-time monitoring, which will increase production efficiency, improve workplace safety and reduce the environmental impact of its operations.
