The propulsion system of the largest sailboats in the world

The Brunvoll company is in charge of implementing a propulsion system with a twin-screw configuration . This system is characterized by adjustable pitch propellers of 3.9 meters in diameter, specially designed to minimize resistance during navigation as they are fully feathered.

These propellers will operate through a direct electric drive system. Additionally, Brunvoll will provide its Thrust-OD Box, which acts as an extra thrust and is equipped with a hydraulic system to drive the controllable pitch propellers.

It is also known that Orient Express is recognized for its iconic luxury train trips, the company that owns the cruises, is seeking to dominate the seas with its Silenseas project and the implementation of efficient systems.
