Trina Solar has set a new world record with its n-type i-TOPCon module , achieving an impressive power output of 740.6 watts . This is the 26th time that the company has managed to raise its energy expectations and capabilities.

The new record of the i-TOPCon module

This achievement was validated by TÜV SÜD at the ” State Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Science and Technology ” in Changzhou, China, marking the company’s twenty-sixth world record in conversion efficiency and power outputs.

This record is not just a number, but the result of years of continuous innovation and technological dedication. Gao Jifan, the president and CEO of Trina Solar, emphasizes that this achievement provides his company’s strength and competitiveness at the forefront of photovoltaic technology, particularly in the era of 700+ watt modules and advanced n-type technology. 210mm .

Furthermore, obtaining this registration is possible by incorporating technologies such as laser-induced activation, edge passivation, dense high-resistance gratings and high-density encapsulation technology, allowing resistance to be reduced and light capture to be maximized. These improvements have led to an increase in the efficiency and capacity of the module’s solar cells .

Since 2015, when Trina Solar set its first world record with cells in the large-area n-type i-TOPCon module , the company has led the transition of these technologies from the laboratory to industrial production.

In August last year, Trina Solar began mass production of its Vertex N 700W+ module series , becoming the first manufacturer to achieve mass production of TOPCon modules with a power greater than 700 watts.
