Mahindra Susten develops ambitious plans in the renewable energy sector, with a hybrid energy project in Maharashtra, India.
Mahindra’s hybrid power project
The company plans to develop a 153 MW hybrid power plant , combining solar and wind energy. This project, with an investment of 143 million dollars, details Mahindra’s foray into the hybrid sector, with 52 MW of solar capacity and 101 MW of wind capacity. The plant is expected to be operational in the next two years and will use more than 80% domestic components .
The combination of solar and wind energy will make it possible to take advantage of the advantages of both sources, guaranteeing a constant supply and reducing carbon emissions. The choice of Maharashtra as a strategic location underlines the company’s commitment to sustainable development in India.
