Intelligent Energy introduces new hydrogen fuel cell technology as an alternative to the challenges facing battery electric vehicles. This proposal proposes that fuel cells can be cost-effective to manufacture like internal combustion engines (ICE), using low-cost and recyclable materials.

The benefit of hydrogen fuel cell consumption

Intelligent Energy’s patented IE-DRIVE system offers a comprehensive solution for automakers as the most compact and powerful hydrogen fuel cell available on the market. This platform, designed and tested by a British company, was presented during an event at Intelligent Energy’s headquarters, demonstrating its effectiveness in a sport utility vehicle provided by Changan UK.

Intelligent Energy highlights the benefits of its IE-DRIVE platform compared to other fuel cell solutions. With a generating capacity of 157 kW, it outperforms any other application currently available in the commercial car market. In addition, its direct water injection technology allows for a heat exchanger 30% smaller than that of its competitors, improving vehicle performance and design.

The company has succeeded in reducing the number of components and the bill of materials of its fuel cell system, which increases efficiency and reduces production costs. The result is a complete system, designed to suit the needs of automakers in terms of design and performance.
