EverWind (EWF), Canada’s leading producer of ammonia and green hydrogen, has entered into a strategic alliance with Eastward Energy (EE) to distribute green hydrogen in Nova Scotia.
Green Hydrogen Energy Opportunity in Nova Scotia
After signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the U.S. company, they are committed to developing and strengthening the hydrogen ecosystem, including initiatives to increase supply and demand by integrating hydrogen with natural gas. This cooperation also extends to exploring new avenues for efficient storage, logistics and distribution of green hydrogen, crucial elements of the supply chain.
From the perspective of Eastward Energys perspective, its president, John Hawkins, stresses the importance of adapting to transformations in the energy sector, focusing on green hydrogen as a cornerstone for achieving zero-emission goals in Nova Scotia. This vision is supported by Eastward Energy’s infrastructure, which is ready to incorporate hydrogen hydrogen and facilitate a faster, more sustainable energy transition in the province.
Trent Vichie, head of EverWind emphasizes the enthusiasm for this synergy with EE, which will play a decisive role in promoting green hydrogen. This alliance will benefit the company’s consumers through cleaner energy options and drive the local development needed to replace fossil fuels with more sustainable local alternatives.
