The company has announced its “Wilton Green Hydrogen Project” plans to establish a green hydrogen plant in a major industrial region of the United Kingdom.
This project, located at Wilton International, will benefit from a strategic location and strong industrial infrastructure, with the acquisition of key land supporting RWE’s vision of producing up to 260 MWe of electrolyzer and five tons per hour of green hydrogen.

The Chairman of RWE in the UK, Tom Glover, highlighted the importance of this project as a significant step towards the company’s goals, underlining the completion of preliminary studies and commitment to operability by 2028. In addition, dialogues have been initiated with potential industrial customers to explore the decarbonization opportunities offered by green hydrogen.
In response to the project’s progress, Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s involvement in the town, highlighting the direct and indirect employment and economic growth benefits.
