Unitree Robotics has presented the Unitree B2, its latest version of quadruped robot intended for industrial inspection applications. This new design stands out as the fastest industrial-grade robot dog, according to Unitree.
This quadruped incorporates LIDAR technology for obstacle detection and navigation, has a load capacity of approximately 264 pounds and has a battery life that ranges between 4 and 6 hours. In a visual demonstration , the robot demonstrates its versatility by ascending and descending stairs, avoiding obstacles such as piles of wood and plants, performing jumps, and walking on slippery surfaces.
Así mismo, el Unitree B2 presenta la capacidad de cambiar entre patas y ruedas, pudiendo estas últimas bloquearse para garantizar estabilidad al descender escaleras y superficies irregulares.
Compared to the B1 (its predecessor), the B2 exhibits a 100% increase in sustained load and a 200% increase in endurance. Standing out as the “ fastest operating industrial inspection robot ,” it can move at speeds of up to 19 feet per second.
