During ASNT 2024, Ed and Glenn, representatives of the Pan-American Federation for Nondestructive Testing (PANNDT) and CINDY, highlighted the importance of global collaboration in the field of nondestructive testing (NDT). From their booth at the event, they shared details about the international NDT conference agenda and how it fosters the development and harmonization of testing and inspection worldwide.
“ASNT is like a brotherhood for us. We come to their conference, and they come to ours, promoting NDE in Canada,” Ed said, referring to the close relationship between ASNT and PANNDT. One of the main topics was the promotion of the Pan NDT conference, which will be held in June 2025 in Niagara Falls, Canada.
Glenn, who represents CINDY and is actively involved with PANNDT, stressed the importance of working together with NDT societies around the world. “All of us, globally, want to give back to the industry. We collaborate both regionally and internationally to develop rules and standards that improve harmonization and global trade flow,” said Glenn, highlighting the impact of these efforts on the standardization of nondestructive testing.
In this context, several key events on the international NDT agenda were mentioned, such as the Asia-Pacific Federation meeting in Hawaii in May 2026, the European event in Verona, Italy in June 2026, and the upcoming world NDT conference, scheduled for 2028 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The ASNT 2024 event, held at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, not only serves as a meeting point for the most important societies in the NDT industry, but also as a platform to discuss the latest trends and developments in the industry. With more than 210 exhibitors and 2,200 attendees, the conference stands out as one of the most relevant forums worldwide in the sector.
PANNDT’s participation in events such as ASNT 2024 is essential to strengthen international cooperation in the field of NDT. “It is a global community, not just about one country. We want to educate and connect all the players in the sector to continue developing this technology worldwide,” Ed concluded.
