Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) projected 60,000 internal gas network installations for this year, with an expected investment of more than USD 74 million.

“The state oil company complies with the mandate established in the Political Constitution of the State (CPE), regarding the use and enjoyment of natural resources for Bolivians, which establishes as a fundamental right of people access to basic services such as domestic natural gas”, affirmed the executive president of YPFB, Armin Dorgathen.

According to the executive of the state oil company, “YPFB works so that the service reaches the most remote areas of the country. Each installation represents the success and satisfaction of the duty fulfilled by the company of all Bolivians with the homes of the country”.

“Hydrocarbons should benefit all of us who inhabit this land, which is why we seek to expand and democratize access to them. Home connections modify the lives of Bolivians because just turning on a key gives access to gas and cooking with firewood remains in the past. We improve the lives of our compatriots and we move forward,” Dorgathen said.

According to YPFB’s projection for this year, the departments of La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz will have 44,239 installations of the planned total, since they concentrate the majority of the population and, therefore, a greater demand for domestic and commercial gas.
