In the municipality of Xixona, Alicante, X-ELIO has launched the second phase of its Turroneros photovoltaic plant , consolidating its position as a benchmark in renewable energy in Spain . This expansion adds 15 MW to its installed capacity, bringing the total project capacity to 50 MW.
Photovoltaic plant reinforces solar energy in Alicante
The project is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen the energy transition in the Valencian Community. With a planned investment of 250 million euros in the region , the company leads the development of sustainable technologies , accumulating 50 MW in operation and 283 MW in development phases.
Furthermore, Turroneros II is an example of innovation and community commitment. The company has implemented local initiatives such as guided tours of solar plants for schools and the installation of solar streetlights on historic routes in Xixona. These actions are part of its Community Plan, focused on education, the environment and health.
